What this is
DealSTE is software for buying and running a company: finding one, reading its public record, underwriting
it, closing it, operating it and selling it. You use it; it does not act for you. Nothing it prints is advice
— not legal advice, not tax advice, not investment advice — and no number it produces is a valuation.
What you are agreeing to
- Your organization's book is yours. You put it in, you can take it out, and you can delete it.
- You will not use this to do something illegal, and you will not put somebody else's confidential
material in it that you have no right to hold.
- You are responsible for who you invite. An owner can invite people inside your organization and can name
outside collaborators on particular deals; whoever you invite can see what that role sees.
- If you stop paying, the door shuts. The book is kept as it was, not deleted, and you can export it.
What I am agreeing to
- Your book is loaded by your organization's id and by nothing else. There is no call in this software
that reads across organizations, and no screen that can be made to show you somebody else's deals.
- I will not sell your book, show it to anyone, or train anything on it.
- When the software gets something wrong, it will say so on the screen rather than printing a confident
number. That is a design rule, and it is the one I would most want kept if I were you.
What I am not promising
This is software, and software breaks. It is provided as it is. Public-record data comes from registers
that are themselves wrong sometimes, late often, and incomplete always — the app labels what it does not
know, and that labelling is the honest part, not a disclaimer to skip. Nothing here is warranted fit for a
particular purpose, and I am not liable for what you decide after reading a screen.
Ending it
You can stop at any time and take the book with you. I can end an account that is being used to break the
law or to attack the service, and I will say why.
